So here you go guys on youtube here's a video i've done with a new client man kevin jones i travel all the way from herith for sure i can only just about pronounce it it's about two. And a half hour journey to get here and we have fixed uh an issue that's been causing problems for the last couple of years since his return to golf kevin used to play a lot when he was younger got all the way down to five. But you know family and work issues he's not been playing a great deal now he's come back and he's playing off 11 and wants to get back down to single figures but he's been struggling with um either a pull and a toei pull at that and a fade slash power fade i.e slice um so what we've looked at today.

And this is a before. And after of one of the positions that has unlocked the uh improvement in his swing plane which i'll show in a moment so we see on screen here at the moment this is kevin just hitting a mid-iron 79. And we see this is similar positions in the follow-through what we notice is that on this left-hand side kevin's forearms haven't quite extended. And crossed now it's not the hands crossing and from kevin's point of view where he's looking the arms haven't crossed it's only from this front view camera it appears that you know that's where you can see the cross you can see on this left hand side they've not crossed at all on this right hand side we see a big difference the forearms have clearly crossed from this front view now again it's important from where kevin's looking. So imagine you stood in that position now with your forearms crossed is that they don't actually appear crossed when you're looking side on to it. And the reason for that is it's simply it's that movement here at impact. But turned on to its side where this action here where the right forearm is underneath the left forearm it would generally mean that your club face would be more to the right than your path. So the path is going the club face is going to to the left because we've got other issues we've got grip issues. And stuff and the path is going further to the left. So there's that difference between the path going way off to the left. And the face going a little bit to the left. So this on the left hand side this on the right hand side this image here what it did it made our path. And our face square up so then.

We talked about changing the path in fact let me just show you this from down the line view of what we were doing before. So this is uh down the loop down the line view of our path before. And after this is in the left before. And you can see the club shaft on the way down here come a little bit outside a little bit over the top now we've started to cross our forearms better we encourage kevin to swing more from the inside. And to stop the golf ball going to the left. So because the now the path was the face was square to the path because of the forearm release. And crossover we've got kevin swinging much more from the inside and just look at the difference there it's just unbelievable you can see on the left hand side there the club is up. And steep and on the right hand side the shaft angle there is pretty much all the way through his right forearm it is sensational that way the ball would start relatively straight. And start drawing back towards the left-hand side or back towards the middle when he got the face perfect um we worked a little bit on the grip with kevin as well towards the end because his cl his grip was just a tiny bit strong. So even when he hit draws the ball would start a little bit too straight and then.

We'll turn to the left so we improved the the grip we neutralized it up uh making sure he could only see two knuckles on the back of his left hand so that then.

At least the um when he did change the path it suited the downswing. And he could hit these lovely lovely drawers and that's why he hit the end however. the biggest difference was with the driver. And that's what i said at the start. So you know we fix the driver with the slice with the driver so here's before so bearing in mind we've done the grip change we've done the forearm crossing over change this is before look how steep the shaft is there it's really tall it's really high up on his. So you can see there the shaft on the left hand side is really upright. So now we've got the forearms crossing over we've got the club face better and we encourage him to still swing down this line we've got his line here on the right hand side to really get that path coming in from the inside more and it's just sensational look at that i mean it's just unbelievably perfect the shaft angle layers right through his right forearm kevin's right forearm here. And hit it more from the inside let his forearms extend and cross and just hit this lovely golf shot started probably just a smidgen left to target but drew straight back down the fairway here on this left hand side the club comes up slightly outside big high horrible left to right shot which just was losing massive distance.
