Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at traffic girl century manchester. And today.

We're gonna be testing the new callaway big bertha iron. So the big chunky meaty iron that's helping for distance on their website they claim it goes two clubs longer so i've got this in seven iron which is 30 degrees it's a slightly longer shaft i've actually got this in a this is a quite a firm shaft. But it is a recoil shaft. So it's this is everything about power everything about power i'm also guys going to be drafting in my kind of middle handicap expert rob potter to be doing the comparison between his current callaway irons. And this so stay tuned for that go and check out the window and also i might even take him out in the golf course rob's here just ready and waiting for that video guys that's going to be next.

Before i do that i want to see how far this actually goes. So 7 iron big chunky thing 30 degrees i would expect 180s pushing into maybe 190s so i'm going to see if it can get over 200 basically i'm going to hit two golf shots normal first. And i'm going to stretch my legs with it. So the the technology behind it they've used their hybrid and their fairway wood technology and stuck in an iron they've made a hollow face fast flexing um soft face that flexes and generates lots of ball speed and they've dragged the center of gravity right down to the bottom of this golf club to make the ball go high while still keeping low loft while from above still looking okay it's never a club i'm going to be using just because how chunky it is you know visually. For me it's a bit too chunky but if you're after distance this could be the iron for you so i'm gonna hit it let's hit it normal first that's got some big chunk a little bit of well quite a bit of offset so i would expect this to go slightly to the left yeah left high felt good it felt like it did feel like a hybrid 117 think that was nine yards let's have a look 179 yards way to the left. But i just when i'm looking down at offset that's the only direction i see this golf club going in really um let's hit one more normal anyway it is like hitting a seven iron hybrid. But without a massively hybrid look uh one stop i think it was exactly the same shot 179 again possibly 179 again hugely to the left because like i said that offset. So i'm going to try. And get a straight line one this time just by changing the club face i'm going to aim it a little bit to the right just to counter that club face lightly i'm going to see how far it can go i think if i really get older this i could get this over 200 from those first few shots just because it is like a hybrid with loft. So club face slider to the right let's give it a bit of a smash it's got to be up there it's got to be in the 190s at least oh i think it was bang on 190. just 200 total distance 190 carry that's how far you can meet this rob that's how far you're going to be at in this check out the video next.

To rob see how how far he actually hits this golf club right come on i can't beat a bit bigger than that it's just. So easy to hit it without question i mean i remember testing well just under 190 that time i remember testing the nike club a few years ago the covert saying that it's the easiest club ever this is right up there this is without question. So easy to it's untrue right come on let's go one more i can get this to what two hundred oh that could be up there you know that could be oh i don't know actually i don't if i fully fully fully hit it. So it's the best total distance at 203 192 yards of carry distance i mean this thing is is lethal. But how could it not be that's the thing it's it's got a big chunky head it's got 30 degrees of loft for a 79 which is low it's got longer shaft it's got a good chunky offset how can it not be a club that will go far. And long and easy to hit you know that's that's the thing so i think callaway got it right with this product it's whether the golfer wants distance can can look at it can visually look at that club. And go yeah you know what i like look at that they've done the best with the artwork they have they've made it look very very appealing. But it's still that chunky iron i only got one more see if i can get this over 200 guys um if you've enjoyed the video give it a thumbs up do subscribe by clicking the link down here below i'm going to go one more bullet to try. And get this callaway big bertha over 200 192 has been my best come on if i can just strike this well this is getting over 200. has to be it has to be that felt amazing. So it means so up in space it's untrue oh you're joking not quite and that's the only thing that i think lets the club down slightly it just goes a bit too high up in the air that was. So high it was untrue. And sometimes it doesn't quite stay hit but for 186 yards it stops within a 10-yard radius so it's got loads and loads of height guys thanks for watching don't forget to check out the next.

Video with rob who is a 13 handicapper we're going to be testing this golf club against his current iron which is an also a callaway island. So check that out guys and we'll see you all soon i might just go one more i'm just addicted to this this has got to go two come on that felt the best that felt the best oh 190. got over 200 yards total distance again guys 191. thanks for watching we'll see y'all soon.
