So i watch a lot of car reviews on youtube i get so excited. And jealous to a point when i see presenters getting to test concept cars cars from the future that look different that are completely out of the box now in golf i've not had the chance to test many concepts golf clubs. But today.

I've got a golf club which in my opinion looks like it's from the year 2030. [Music] now this golf club is from cobra. And it's not a driver it's not a fairway wood it's not irons it's not even a wedge it's actually a putter and it is packed full of technology things that i've never seen in a putter before number one the grip now it looks like a standard grip that you get enough footer. But in the top built in is arcos now this little device connects to your phone your iphone. Or your android phone and as you're playing golf it'll help you track your shots that you've hit and after the round it gives you analysis to help improve your game it's nothing dead new but i've never seen it built into a putter before it's not for everybody but i definitely see it's the way that golf clubs are going in the future now before we get to number two check out this head cover that is a cool looking head cover. And on the side here 3d printed i'm going to come on start in a minute because that is a big story. But number two is the club face now this club face has been in designed in conjunction with sick s-i-k bryce nishambo uses a sick putter. And quite simply the face has been split up into four sections and it checked the loft changes through the head so this kind of suit if you hit down on the ball a little bit more you're more likely to hit the top of the putter so therefore. it's got more loft four degrees of loft three degrees in the middle two degrees slightly lower one degree on the bottom if you hit up on the golf ball so basically that loft is helping golfers that have different strokes different angles into the golf ball. And even if you're a putter that have very inconsistent strokes that's quite cool again we've seen that on other photos before but this is the first time cobra have put it into a putter. And then.

Number three this head has been completely 3d printed i'll be honest i've heard that phrase being thrown about and i've never really understood what it kind of means and how how much of it could be an advantage well cobra this is what cobra is saying the benefit of 3d printing is the fact there is no boundaries to what we can do from size shape. Or complexity while also offering weight saving to enable us to create and bring to market game changing innovations to all of us golfers that's quite interesting that's different to what i've heard in the past now obviously there's going to be some governing bodies that regulate size. And everything else but already just looking at this putter the complexity of the design of this lattice at the back is outstanding now i think what it's going to mean if i was to kind of break that spiel down i think putter manufacturers. Or manufacturers that use 3d printing are going to be able to distribute the weight better to give it more forgiveness to make putters that look let's say a blade like this. But have more moi more forgiveness we'll see if that's the case either way this is very futuristic. And i mentioned earlier on about the concept ideas this is a concept putter there's only 500 of them made. And the price of 349 pound now this is the point in those concept car reviews they get to jump in the flash car. And shoot down naught to 60 in two seconds but for me i get to roll some putts with this concept footer and see how it feels [Music] [Applause] [Music] just goes to show you have all the technology in the world still won't make your hole every six foot put so after spending some time testing this putter do i like it no i don't it feels very almost plasticky it's not a nice sound to it at all there are however. some features that i do quite like this face is quite cool the sick face with different lofts i saw a few putts where i didn't strike it well. And they still got to the hole impressed with that also i know the advantage of archos i do think that's a really cool little feature as well i just think. For me at the moment this 3d printed head just didn't offer the same satisfying feel that you normally get from a putter however. i am intrigued to see where this is going to lead to now cobra could have done what a lot of other brands have done it's been a long time since they brought a putter out they could have just brought out a very standard blade. And a mallet putter stuck cobra on it and said there's your putter. But they've not done that in fairness to them they've pushed the boundaries they've seen what's next.

And i've got to respect that the design at the moment is not quite there looks wise again it just looks a little bit off it's not quite perfect. But i've also got to carry that this with a little point of my own i remember when tesla brought out the cyber truck and i saw it for the very first time when elon musk put it on stage i was like that's the most disgusting thing i've ever seen. But i know in a few years when they hit the road people are going to fall in love with them i'll probably be one of them. And i think that could be the case with this 3d printing is it going to be the future we'll have to wait. And see what advantage is it going to be to the golfers is it going to change the price now i say change because i don't think that means as the price going to come down with 3d printing. Or is it going to go up i would suspect down. And also i am quite intrigued to see with unlimited possibilities what crazy mad designs we may see in the future that can help you play better golf this isn't a bad start. But i can't wait to see what the future holds stay tuned lots more to come and we'll see you next.

Time.
