All right guys i'm here in scotland and tomorrow i'm going to carnoustie. For the ladies open now originally i saw staying in a hotel in dundee but a couple of days ago i got an email saying your hotels had to change i was like oh really well they said you have to stay somewhere quite special you're going to be staying at the home of golf here on the side of the 18th hole of the old course look at this place scent andrews home of golf. And we're here for a little bit of an adventure now i'm not here for a long time so i honestly don't think i'm gonna get a chance to play golf gusted i think that's gonna really hurt it's such a nice day however. i don't get a chance to play golf i'm gonna do the next.
Best thing saint andrews is the home of golf it's one of the best towns in the world. And it is golf heaven. So let's head into the town and go and buy some clubs there's loads of little independent shops where you can get some second-hand bargains i might be able to pick up some bits that i'm gonna treasure forever. And who knows i might even give some away without further ado let's head into saint andrews then.
Grab some food first get a bit of a plan together and go and buy some golf clubs what a place i mean look at the weather today.
It's literally perfect i am very jealous of these guys today.
Playing out here on the old course look at it it's full it's buzzing look at all the people even just watching here on the 18th now i was lucky enough a couple of months ago to play here. And like this is the 18th green of one of the most famous golf courses if not the most famous golf course in the world is right here. And you can between me. And this picket fence and that's it you're on a road and then.
Suddenly bang you're in the town if you've never been to saint andrews before it is just. So like it's in the town special right before we go shopping i'm hungry it's lunch time let's go and find some food then.
Plot our way around all the golf shops that are in the town [Music] okay i found this little chippy at the end of the street we walked past probably about i reckon 10 golf shops just on the way to here if i just search golf shops oh my goodness there is a ridiculous there's at least at least double figures 10 plus. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to go into a few golf shops a few charity shops are on the way as well i'm sure they'll have a few little trinkets. And to be honest this video was a bit inspired by one of my favorite channels stacked golf if you've not checked them out check them out based in america. And they go around to like thrift shops is what we call charity shops. And they pick up some bargains so definitely check them out but we're going to do a cent andrew's version. And i say i might play golf with them later it's a beautiful day from get on the golf course great but if not just finding a few little a few little nuggets of uh that's right word bargains you know what i fancy a little old-school scottie cameron that i could maybe do all. For maybe some hickory clubs because we are in the home of golf we're interested to see what we find. But first this food is phenomenal all right guys first shot sent andrew's golf store sounds about right i'm not sure how much i'm going to film in these shops. But let's head in and see what they've got available seconds later okay really nice shop. But only sold clothes no golf clubs okay you know what that wasn't the best start i expect a lot more golf clubs there's another golf shop just down this road. So again quick reminder i want to definitely find like a an old-school scotty like one i could even have refurbished maybe hopefully for a good price i might have to negotiate and it may be like just something a bit different like grant i'm fairly lucky i've got a few clubs i want to see something like an 11 wood or a 19 wood or a mad putter or a hickory club like just something that's different that's fun that maybe i could review on the channel who knows but that's what i'm really after right i went the wrong way before we are now on track i can only see two golf shots from here okay this looks more promising the golf shop of saint andrews that's got to sell something [Music] i made this. For the 2015 open i don't know if that's any that's nice if you wanted to look at them this is class see we've got all these old bags oh i love those bags i want one i want it yeah fluid feel is that a full set i want that i want them wilson staff fluid field proper proper blades let's go let's get them let's get that bag. And i've actually seen a 3-wood in the front as well right when i first started i remember getting this the callaway big bertha steelhead in a driver and it looked massive this is a three plus. And it is in perfect condition. So so far first shot we've been in bag set of irons three wood decent let's take them okay what's really funny. So i've picked up this set of irons three to pitching wedge i've picked up the three wood the callaway at the moment we're having a bit of battering on this bag i like it i do. And it's quite old school very old school it's got three gloves in it which is a positive. But apparently it's not the shops it's the customers who wants to trade it in so she's actually just gone in the back to ring the guy who owns this bag get this to 100 pound for the bag it's quite pricey mean i do like it. But that'd be a hundred pound for the bag i think that was about 52 quid does it mean the set of irons are 40 48 pound. So the irons are a bargain the bag's pricey spent 200 pound in the first shot actually i think i've got a bargain on the irons i think the bag was way too expensive. But i wanted it let's do this bag in the window arnold palmer she said are you interested in that i said absolutely yes she went it'd be six figures i'm not that interested mr palmer i'm afraid. But that is a very cool bag right on to the next.
Shot this is literally one of the most famous pubs. For golf the dumb vegan when they opened on or any golf event is absolutely packed definitely going in there. For a few tonight okay this is the place to be look at this a full row of shops i must admit i'm probably not going to go in that one because that's the ladies locker room then.
All the way across golf shops galore oldest golf club manufacturer in the world [Music] what's like what's like the oldest club in the shop this one this is the oldest this is the oldest clubbing club in the shop oh wow. And it's that's an original that yes yes. So it's 100 over 100 years old oh my goodness that's crazy oh it says special i thought it said shields on the back it says special on the back oh that's. So cool oh my goodness that's anti-shank wedge let's see what price she might be able to do. For this oh look at all these old balls wow wooden ball feathery a smooth ball if i was to get this yes the oldest club in the shop. And the box of those balls what's the best price you can do now this might be quite an expensive i hadn't fully uh i haven't fully put a budget on this i must admit i've gone a bit crazy i only really bought in two shops. So fingers crossed you can do a decent deal you know as i mentioned before stacked golf they seem to find these amazing bargains i am not good at this. And they're really good at like negotiating i'm not good at that either i'll do my best great okay um we're spending money like it's going out of fashion anti-shank wedge boxer balls onto next.
Door i'm also starting to think i'm almost got a full set to play some club play some golf. So i might drop my contact here a little message and see if we can book a tee time i really need though a putter maybe a driver we'll see what we can find okay you know what this this is amazing golf shop this octalone is right on the corner here offers it done vegan i'm not sure how much old stuff it's got secondhand clubs either. But it is one of the biggest shops here in saint andrews [Music] what do you think about this suits me oh okay it's got a vibe to it okay no second-hand clubs in this shop. But good news they actually have a second-hand shop which is just around the corner. But first off this shop is. So good it's one of the best let's have a look see if there's anything else even if it's not clubs let's see if there's anything else we could buy we just checked do these shoes make my feet look big i'm not sure i'm not sure matt the camera launcher said i can't believe they saw shoes that pink they don't foul they don't louis easter hazen open championship champion nice little gold replica [Music] yeah that's the one [Music] um [Music] okay you know what i didn't want to spend all the money on me. So look in there i'll give you a little spy i'm giving all that stuff away all of that goodie bags from this shop all said andrew's memorabilia. But even like look at this one of my favorite wedges ever cobra trusty rusty love this even like a little cheeky sm5 i don't particularly need a wedge it's even a pxg in here oh my god look at this flag as well like big bertha originally like one of the old school ones this was a proper three wood back in the day v steel. So shane there's a lot there's a lot of strong three woods but i've already got a strong three would i think i might have uh i might have gone a bit early with that callaway one before all right you know what there's something. So special about secondhand clubs like they just transport you like that but certainly for me like when i played as a kid how many of these did i used to have i don't even that i used to one. And desire i think i'm gonna go with this i know i've already got a strong 3 wood. But i think that spoon 13 degrees i'm gonna have to get it look at this as well it's got like lead tape on the back of it you can tell that you can tell whoever had this was a proper player what a shop this is thank you very much thank you i'm in like i'm in heaven it's unbelievable i've already picked up a few bits look at this come look at this oh my gosh ping eye two that's a one iron that is a proper one iron i've gotta get that haven't i look at that steel shaft old school grip massively offset one iron in the bag we've got a strong three wood. And a ping one iron here we go second hand putters i've been looking for something special what we got what we got oh my goodness look at this bullseye i know scotty's made these this is a cush nuts this is basically before scotty cameron standard flange that's a bit cool in it 75 quid. So i must admit i wanted a scottie cameron i did. But i wanted one like really old and almost battered this isn't it's almost brand new so i'm not going to go with that. And to be honest it's very limited choice for scotty cameras just because they're so rare i think i'm gonna have to go. For this bullseye because then.
I can put right handed if i want if i'm not feeling confident. And go a little bit left-handed putter sorted right now the final club i think we need is a driver okay this is where most of the drivers are. But they're all quite like new if i'm honest i mean that is one of the best drivers ever made the taylor made m2 original it's. So hard to get all of those things so i could go for that but 150 quid it's like two new almost i want something old i want something i don't know something classic and as much as that's pretty good that's not it there are a few more drivers in there actually these are all pretty much new oh there's a little cheeky bag oh my god look at this taylor made 300 ti 7.5 degrees in a grapholoy pro light stiff shaft yes that's it that's the toy in it that is unreal yeah done do not need to look any further that is ridiculous seven. And a half degrees that is gonna fly look at these boxed up these were the boys when i was growing up top flight xl 2000 extra long oh we've got to go. For them haven't we we've got to get them still golf ball boxes haven't changed still great for distance feel a metal matrix distance technology if we're going to go. And play golf we need some golf balls and we might as well go old school that's why i'm just getting the best price for those clubs look at this it's a bucket of protein ones come on look at some of these these are mad like someone's drawn triple track on them love that ryder cup celtic manor 2010 look at this 2015 captain's prize look i've just a lot of people mark the golf balls black line a few dots around i had no idea what that is. But i'm sure somebody watching this video knows exactly what that logo is drum drum he loses a few drum played there bay hill club very very nice some of these are transatlantic they've got all the way over here the old course itself kenny mumford found your bob what i'm going to do is since you like this one. So much i'm going to give you that as a gift wow thank you nice. And i've reduced the long iron to 45 nice uh and we'll um we'll take five pounds off of this one for you and the balls and the bills i i'll have to do it at 60. don't worry perfect. So it's and fifty so a little gift from me off the road is pre-owned thank you andrews. And what about this can offer that one okay. So you're 115 he wants a nice plug for the shop and that's fair if he's going to give me a nice uh driver thanks a lot you gotta come. And see and he'll look after you the only thing i'm thinking i mean slight second thoughts on the irons i think i jumped the gun a little bit soon in that first shot i paid about 50 pounds. For those irons but i've seen these these titleist dcis like these are classics again four iron down to sand wedge. And they are 50 pounds let me speak to e. And see if he'll do as a bit of a deal right i spoke to ian. And you know i was mentioned before how stacked golf are really good at negotiating i'm really not. So those wilson irons i bought before i paid 50 pounds he said i'll trade him in. But he'll only give me 25 for him so in an hour i've lost 25 quid on them but i want these tight stains and they're 50 quid so if i trade them in 25 quid i get these titleist upgrades i think it's worth it [Music] i love your second thoughts i'm actually going to keep the wilson irons as well. And i'm just going to pay 50 quid. For those titles i think i'll regret giving those wilson irons away i'll just pat the table 50. thank you. So randomly now i've got two sets of irons but i can't give those wheels to the way i feel like i'd regret it i feel like i've given away back somebody in the comments going right you're daft they were worth 200 quid it might be worth nothing. But i'm going to keep them. And then.
