So you might have seen a video i made earlier this year where i put together a full bag including the golf ball of one brand and that brand was mizuno i wanted to see what the pros. And cons were like playing with just that singular brand now a lot of the golf clubs passed with flying colours however. there was one club in there that i didn't particularly enjoy testing. And they even said some negative things like this considering mizuno make such amazing feeling irons i fully expected to take the putter on the golf course. And it to feel just as good and i was severely let down which is a real shame now since that video i've seen a lot of other people say very good things about those putters. So was i potentially wrong was i a bit hasty in my judgment well let's find out because not only that mizuno have also extended the lineup there's more putters now. So i thought you know what get to the point in green and give these putters a proper test will i change my mind was i right in the first place. Or we'll actually really end up falling in love with one of these let's find out so these are the mizuno m craft lineup there's actually six models available. And each model comes in three different color ways they're a fancy name for them but i'm just going to call them black blue. And chrome now the big story here the milled faced and also forged price wise 250 pound of putter so not super cheap now what i'm going to do because there are different head shapes i'm gonna hit a few initial puts first. And see if i can whittle it down to maybe one. Or two head shapes before i give them a proper test also the putters come with a weight kit in standard there's two eight gram weights in the head but it also comes with a three gram weight and a 13 gram weight so you can maneuver if you want it lighter. Or heavier so let's get tested let's initial thought i think i've got my iron a couple that i like look of first. But let's whittle it down just a two so i can give them a proper test [Music]. So i like these two the best certainly from looks wise it's weird actually this one is very similar to my actual putter i use. But i didn't wasn't as fond on it and then.
As i go down the line i get less fodder as i go further down to that one on the end i've got a theory on feel which i'm going to come to shortly. But first let's jump onto these two and give them a proper test i do like the look of these a lot right. So i've got these two putters i'm gonna roll a few putts with them see how they feel see how they perform i do like both head shapes i'm probably just gonna go with the mallet one first now i'm also got the weight kit there's a three gram weight 13 gram weight. And have a little tinker with that as well see how how much of a difference it makes and then.
When i answer the question thought of was i wrong in that first analysis back in february at the start of the year was i wrong about mizuno putters well let's find out i'm gonna go with this one first give me a little test [Music] [Applause] [Music]. So before i tell you which putter i like the best let me do a little shameless plug check out these rickshaws golf show podcast pro v1s even with the at handle. For instagram is it cool aren't they guys new podcast gets released every single tuesday on all of your favorite podcast platforms. And if you want a chance of winning three of these golf balls like the pinned comment in the comments down below and check out the podcast i've got to say it's pretty close between these two models i was a big fan of both. But i'm actually probably slightly edging towards the blade what i'm going to do now as i mentioned it comes this little weight kit i'm going to just toy around with putting the heavier weights in i think the heavier weight is going to give this even a slightly different feel maybe even a better feel let's do that next.
[music] okay 13 gram weights are in [Music] what's the mate with that extra weight that's a bit of me that i like the feel of that it's quite a cool little addition that you get lightweight heavyweight. And it comes standard with a medium weight as well i do like that. But fine-tuning so it comes back to this idea was i wrong was i too hated the first time. And these mizuno puts us feel better i've got a few theories the first one being last time i tested this blue putter the blade blue and there's something in it for me when i tested the blue ones they definitely felt harder and that that's just me i don't know if there's any evidence in that i think the exactly the same construction. But for me they just felt a little bit harder the other thing last time because i was doing the full bag of everything mizuno actually tested these putters with the mizuno ball again that's a little bit harder than let's say a pro v1 pro v1 made it feel just a little bit better. And the other thing is well these grips i do think because they're quite a firm corded thin grip that doesn't particularly give the best feel. But again that could be something that's replaceable i do like these mizuno putters i don't love these mizuno putters don't think they're quite there. Yet they might be as we go along and new iterations but they're not the best feeling putters in the world but they do feel slightly better than the last time i tested them earlier in the year thanks. For watching guys stay tuned lots more to come and that's the new mizuna lineup we'll see you next.
Time.
