Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at trafford girl center in manchester. And we've got the final between the two longest irons we've got the callaway x2 hot versus the tailor-made speed blades now both of these two golf clubs are geared design distance that's their main aim distance. And forgiveness the way they've managed to do that is they've actually strengthened the loss of the golf clubs. But still doing their absolute best to help you get the most height out the shot by bringing the center of gravity down on both of these two the only big difference is that the tailor-made speed blade has got the little speed pocket here just on the bottom which is supposed to offer faster ball speed. But we're going to see in this test. And the x2 heart is just a long line i've tested this before. And it was massive. So i've got it on gc2 i'm going to be hitting some real golf balls what i'm going to do i'm going to do alternate golf shots the shots have to be within a 10-yard radius. So they can't go 10 more than 10 yards left or more than 10 yards right to count it's only fair and we're going to see out these two which one has the average longest carry distance of the of the uh the three. So we're going to give it a bash the only thing different in spec wise is that the taylormade is this is seven both seven irons here this is 30.5 degrees of loft where the callaway is 30 degrees this has got a half a degree head start effectively. So i wonder if that's going to make a big difference when the results come in on the gt2. So i'm going to go speed blades first we're going to hit these ones first. So first off i have tested these golf clubs before in the past and i really really like to what i like about them even even though they are stronger let's say they do still go up to space. And that's really good because you get the flight and you still get the distance and it's all because like i said that central gravity has been pulled all the way down to the base of the golf club right let's hit some shots i'm gonna hit real balls. And we'll see how these bad boys perform that is gorgeous love the flight of that it's a nice first hit 173 yards not a bad first goal shot it's only gone two yards off target line. So we'll take that every single day thank you very much right callaway it's too hot now like say when i have tested this in the past performance wise it was massive like really big. So we'll see how it works today.

That felt really really nice that should have probably gone a little bit further one seven six. And the reason i said that is because as soon as i hit it the ball seemed to just fly off the face much faster. So giving me a little bit more ball speed a couple of miles per hour extra ball speed and you could tell that straight away yet taylormade are the ones that are saying that they're going to be producing faster ball speed with this speed pocket. So it's going to be close on this oh i do like these two clubs i tell you what if someone said to me right rick you've got to go. And start playing for a living again proper play and play it on tour i would get these two in the bag straight away not a problem at all uh well one of these anyway 179 so that's another really good hit and 0.1 yards off target line it's not bad long and straight right let's go callaway again oh they do feel good both of these two golf clubs are definitely doing what they say on the tin long forgiving. And straight 179 also exactly the same yardage a little bit more to the right 5.3 yards to the right but still within our 10-yard radius right one shot left each oh it's going to be closer at the moment i think the taylormade is just pipping it at the mo sorry the callaway is just picking at the moment i've not had a bad shot with these. Yet though not a single bad shot with each of these got two golf clubs yet they're really really good and that is 175 not quite as far as the last one. And eight yards offline so still within our ten yard radius we'll take that every day right it's gonna be a close on this i think if the callaway gets one out there a decent number i'm just gonna hit it normal like i have all the rest. And we'll see how how the numbers perform right let's go one more with the callaway oh that felt the best that felt the best out of any of them and it's definitely gone further 180 180 yards of these are all carry distances as well guys just checking it's inside the radius you have 6.8 yards left of target. So it's within the radius as well oh i think it's going to be quite close. So if we pull up the figures up on screen now so what i've done i'm going to highlight the taylormade ones first. So let's have a look at the taylormade figures first they're up on screen for you now we've got ball speed 127 miles per hour that's pretty fast with a seven iron i normally with my kind of more bladed seven irons maybe not as powerful seven iron would normally be looking at about one two four one two five so this gives me two or three extra miles per hour launch angled 19 degrees so even though it's very low lofted it coming out it comes out quite high because of this sensors of gravity pulled down and the technology that's behind the head and it's giving me an average carry distance of the three shots there 176 yards we'll take that every day we really will every one of them was in the 10 yard dispersion range. So they're all they're all counting golf shots we're happy with that 176 right has the extra half a degree for the callaway made the difference yes yes it has there's a two yard improvement there's two yard length difference. So the callaway x2 heart has gone 178 yards she's gone that extra two yards further whether that half a degree is helping with that it's offering the same ball speed 127 ball speed slightly lower launch has given me one degree less launch 18.4. And i hit him i hit him both well and like i say it's gone two yards further in distance carry distance all average carry distances and every one of them yeah was in the 10 yard radius. So guys that was a really close competition today.

Between the two well i would definitely classify as the longest irons on the market at the moment however. the longest the champion is the cali too hot with its 30 degree 7.9 loft quite strong loft a huge head offering loads of forgiveness this is definitely the longest that i've tested on the market. So far guys thanks so much for watching if you've enjoyed the video do give it a thumbs up please comment down below also i'd love you to subscribe to this channel you can do about that by clicking this link. And you can check out my next.

Video just in this window here thanks. So much for watching and that was the callaway x2 hot against the taylormade blades. And the callaway has just picked it you.
