Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at traffic hall central manchester. And today.
We've got the second leg of the longest iron challenge i've just done the first leg which was the titleist ap1 against the callaway x2 hot. So if you've not checked that video out yet check it out in the window here the winner of that is going to play against the winner of these two now these two i've got the nike vrs covert 2.0 this is the normal version not the forged version the 7 iron loft of this is in 31 degrees of loft. So it's not super strong but it's stronger than what we would class as being kind of standard really standard being about 33 32 then.
We've got the tail made speed blade now this is supposed to be one of the longest irons when i've tested it in the past i've noticed that as well this is 30.5 degrees of loft. So it's a little bit stronger than the nike iron so it's going to be interesting these two match up i'm going to hit five real golf balls each on gc2 we're only going to count the ones that are in a 10 yard dispersion there's no point in pulling it 40 yards left. And hitting the ball longest it's going to be equal in as best we can at the end of the video we're going to put the video the figures together we're going to see out these two which one is the longest. And going to go through to the final against the callaway x2 hot i'm going to hit the nike over first if you've not checked my video out of that already you can check it out the link here i've done a review on this already. So this is all about now the longest time let's say this is all longest i'm granted it's not always about the length of hitting the irons. But this is what this video is about it's all about the longest hitting 7900 is out in the market currently. So let's get cracking right guys so we've hit the five shots there and we've got an average carry distance of 175 that's all the five shots within the 10 yard radius when the finish is when the land. So it's not as if they're massively offline and we've got 150 175 yards the furthest shot was 178. And the shortest was 172. So it's not too bad front to back dispersion as well so now i'm going to test that up against the taylormade speed blades with a slightly stronger face it's 0.5 degrees stronger. And we'll see how far that goes in comparison to the nike vrs covert right guys so after hitting the five taylormade speed blades we've got a result this against the nike cover vrs covert 2.0 there's one yard and the extra 0.5 degree of loft has helped the tailor made it's just picked it by one yard so the carry distance was 176. So with it being 0.5 degrees stronger it's made the ball go just that one yard further so guys the next.
Video is going to be the tail made speed blades against the callaway x2 hot we'll see what how these two fare in the final both almost i'd pretty much identical golf clubs there's only half a degree difference again between this. And the callaway it's kind of the result we expected to happen really so we're going to see if these two which are these two is going to be going the furthest thanks. For watching you.
