[music] hi guys my name is rick shields down here at traffic gold central manchester. And today.
I'm going to be doing a head-to-head against the four longest drivers currently on the market we've got the tightest ap one we've got the callaway x2 hot we've got the nike nike vrs covert 2.0. And also the taylormade speed blade so we've got the four hottest clubs on the mark at the moment i'm going to be head to head i'm going to do two against two. And then.
Put the longest two in the final to find out which of these four golf clubs is the longest. And this is is all about the longest granted some of you watching might not want longness with your irons. But this is all about which of these golf clubs hits it the furthest. So we're going to start off with like i say titleist against callaway. So we're going to head these two these were drawn out the hat earlier on. And then.
We're going to do nike against taylormade we're going to see how those two fair. And then.
We'll put the two winners together so we've got it on gc2 we're hitting real golf balls what i'm gonna do i'm gonna fast forward the five golf shots. So that you don't have to keep watching them i'm just gonna hit them and then.
We're gonna have a look at the end to see which ones average are going the distance furthest distance average um the only rule is they've got to be inside a 10 yard radius they can't be 10 yards. Or further off lines they've got to be down that target line otherwise if it's pulling it's going to go further. So i'm going to take any bad ones out keep the good ones we're going to five of the best. And we'll see out of these two which one's going longer. So first off a little bit of speck on these two golf clubs these actually are the ones that are furthest away in loft. So i've got both these in seven irons we've got the titleist ap1 in a 32 degree loft for a seven iron which is a bit more nearer to kind of standard as what you would normally get where the callaway x2 hot is actually in 30 degrees. So there is a two degree difference in loft of these two golf clubs. But at the end of the day they both say 7 9 at the bottom so that's what i'm comparing them up against lengthwise they're pretty much identical so we've got absolutely identical length of golf club here i've got these in just a normal stock stiff steel flex both in the manufacturer's flex so we're going to see out of these two which goes first i'm gonna start off with the ap one first. So this is the most forgiving type design that they do. And it's designed for the market of kind of ultimate forgiveness as long a distance as they can possibly offer without to me times have almost stayed to the roots a little bit better without kind of manipulating the loft too much simply. So let's give it a crack i like this when i first test it's a little bit chunky club but i did like it when i first tested it. So i'm gonna hit five and then.
We'll pitch it up against the callaway x2 hot right so i've hit five golf shots there with the titleist ap1 all within the 10 yard allowance and the average carry distance says was one six nine that's about what i would normally carry a six height the furthest one was 172. But all pretty much as tightly knit as you possibly can get. So i'm gonna pitch out up against the callaway x2 hot now i think i know what's going to be the winner here. But we'll see how it gets on and then.
We'll see join me in a second we'll see the results side by side and see which glove club is going to go through to next.
Round right. So i've just hit the callaway x2 hot iron there is a two degrees difference in golf club here. And we can see that definitely in the figures it has gone further it's gone an average of nine yards further the callaway x too hot nine yards that's nearly an extra club further its fur this one was 181. And its shortest one was one seven three. So even its shortest one was still longer than the average. Or longest seven iron with the titleist ap1 so guys the callaway x2 hot with its least loft so it's 30 degrees i've lost this slightly manipulating the fact that it's a 7.9 bolt still a 7.9 it goes through to next.
Round and it's going to compete against either the nike vrs covert. Or the taylormade jet speed i'm going to be trying those two golf clubs next..
