Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at trafford girl center in manchester um we're going to do some mizuno testing we've got the fairway woods. And there's also got the hybrid so the jpx 850 range excited because i've just hit the hybrid. And what is on a quite a cold manchester day it's warmed me up deep inside got some nice nice numbers off that some nice feeling. So go and check out that review if you've not seen the hybrid do go. And check it out and it's made me very excited to try the the fairway ones. So i've got these in the 3 wood and the 5 wood so i'm going to hit them both in this review. And see how they see how they're fair not that they're going to be much dissimilar to each other. But just because i've got the option of hitting a 3 and five i might as well take up and take up on it i'm gonna go three first so head cover shaping shading kind of electric shiny blue looks good will very much stand out in your bag. And it's just very easy to use very easy to to work i'm a bit of a headquarter geek to be fair and then.
Underneath we find the fairway well this is the 3-wood the jpx 850. And the first thing that stands out i mean just looking from the bottom of those ridges those kind of triple ridges that are behind the face the things that are helping to reduce the spin. And they've done it in triple effect so helping it as much as they can sorry guys it is quite windy down here the best thing is on the gt2. And the simulator software it doesn't know that it's windy so it doesn't matter with the figures it won't make any difference then.

We see the bold strong i need to probably get the right wording for the blue and i'm sure mizuno fans in the comments below might correct me i'm going to call it electric kind of cult blue um strong blue maybe dividing opinions blue i said i think that's its biggest obstacle with the mizuno i think if they'd have brought it out in different colours i think it could have potentially opened a few more doors. And got a few more golf bags so in my opinion it's got the white mizuno symbol on the top and we've got adjustability in the neck i've got it in the 15 degree setting but i can move it anywhere from 13 degrees all the way up to 17.. So that's like a really strong 3 13 up to like a forward which i think it's pretty impressive um black face white grooves really make the face stand out. And i've just got this in the um i've got this in the fujikura stiff flex 65 gram shaft this time i need to move the gc2 back in fraction so i've been hitting off a hybrid off the floor so i'm going to see how far it works on the range first. And how it feels just on a very very small tee peg there might hit some off the floor as well see how it reacts um at the moment like i said i it's hard with the blue i'm not sure the more i probably hit the mizuno clubs the more i'm starting to fall in love with the blue. But it doesn't for me it doesn't stand out straight away i've got something like say 15 degrees it's not the most shallow face behind the ball so i reckon off the floor it might feel a little bit harder to hit because the face isn't quite as shallow but see how it reacts anyway that's all right that's a nice thing i would expect with this loft anywhere towards maybe the 240 mark carry it's exceeded that and it's dead straight down the middle 246 very nice very very good response off the face felt like it reacted well at the moment i mean that was only the first one. But i had no negative thoughts about that shot as in the feedback on it was was excellent that's just pulled a little bit left just pulled that a little bit left it'll be interesting to see kind of distance anyway on it it's more my error than anything else. But still felt good off the face even though it wasn't absolutely flush 241 too far left to be fair but still felt like a really good hit let's go another one then.

We'll get the five win in action yeah it's nice it really is i i'm struggling. For any any bad feelings with the club i'm warming to the blue let's go off the deck now this is where i feel looking down straight away it's not quite as as comforting as some other three woods just because of the deep deepness of the face it's a little i don't know whether it's the black finish. Or it's the blue head which which separates the look so we're looking down at the blue and then.
You see the black the black face seems to stand out but there's other drivers that have different colored face to the heads shouldn't have a massive difference but it just for some reason i do certainly i prefer personally a shallow face with a three would that might not matter if i hit this one hit these ones well. So off the floor let's see how it reacts i don't really care it's not shallow there's there's absolutely nothing wrong with that at all exactly on the line lovely right one more and then.
We'll get the five wood out lovely felt great that felt really good these mizuno clubs are certainly keeping me warm on on a cold day i'm oh yeah look at those two how good are those last two right on the line yeah i've got no issues with them at all i think they're great i think they're they 're i think that that's it's only obstacle they're going to come across is that the blue might just separate some of you comment down below let me know what you think will the blue will the blue have an influence will it will it kind of um all to your mindset does it put you off the club i would i would personally like to know as well it'd be interesting to say that. So five wood loft options this time goes from 16 degree all the way up to 20 and you can go in an upright setting as well i'd love that i've not changed these i've got this in 18 degrees. So i'm just going to change the color of the line. So we can uh separate the shots okay. So i've just changed the color on the sim so guys this is hailstone it's just coming into the bay real life hailstone love it. But like i say these mizuno clubs are definitely helping me stay a bit warmer anyway it's not quite like orlando. But hey ho right five wood so 18 degrees um looks a small head i'm sure it is got in the same shaft same same everything really just the extra loft let's see i i don't quite know why what this is going to achieve. But let's hit it anyway just because i've got it in my hand obviously the ball flight is significantly high i would expect maybe in the two nothing hit that one great actually maybe in about the 225 mark 230 mark i can't even remember the last time i've hit a 3-wood a 5-wood i've not i've not used one. For an awful long time and i can't really remember the last time i actually probably hit a 5-wood so let's hit another one there's more hybrids that people play with these days certainly if i was to go with this combination i got the three wood. And the hybrid but you might want to go with the five wood to split the gap it felt good felt just as just as good as the uh three would it's gonna it's going to do that's it a couple more. And i'll hit off the deck yeah lovely just feels great i've there's no at the moment i'm struggling. For any any negative thoughts about the clubs at all i think the science behind it's good i like the triple slots behind from what we've researched has shown it's going to help the face flex better it's got a quick switch. For the loft the electric blue is certainly bold. But it's not it's not garish it's not terrible i set a couple off the floor this time yeah i could imagine hitting that into a long power floor par five again though i'd probably be more inclined to go with a high yeah 230 that's about where i need to carry it let's go last one last shot with the uh jpx 855 wood let's uh let's see let's finish with a bang yeah lovely lovely lovely lovely guys mizuno jpx 850 range that was big as well um they're just great clubs i can't you know they they fill in the market brilliantly i know mizuno have got an awful lot of fans i'm involved in some of the mizuno forums online.
