Hi guys my name's Rick shields down here at traffic girl Center in Manchester and we're doing some three will tested we've got the 16 best fairway woods on the market currently. And we're gonna test them head-to-head in a quite simple when it stays on format we've got the hottest woods in the world at the moment I put them in completely run them order absolutely run the mod I'm just going to pick two from the from the side. And play through them we're gonna be hitting five golf shots with each ball so then.
We're gonna see which one is the longest. And that's going to go through to neck Rand. So first on we've got we've got the pink um so this is the pink answer 3-wood against the nike covert 2.0 tour now I've got all the golf clubs every single one of them set in as best a neutral set as I cancel all in 15 degrees. So a normal 3-wood loft and they're all in stiff shaft so there's a little bit of variation some of them are kind of 14. And a half maybe fifteen and a half but they're all as close to fifteen as a cab and all in the stock stiff shafts so they're all this as close as you can get them to suit my game to give you the best comparison videos that we can possibly give. So we're hitting five golf balls real golf balls on GC 2 and we're gonna be seeing which one of these two is the longest. And going through to the next.
Round the only stipulation is they're gonna be within a 20-yard dispersion that seems quite wide what a fat normal fairway width we're gonna say 20 yard dispersion you've got to be inside that. And they're that way not really gonna be getting any big long pulls or shots that are going to miss target. So if they are outside that 20 degree radius they're not going to count 20 yard radius they're not gonna count okay let's go pink answer 3-wood first. And hit five in a row and then.
We'll see how they go now this club I do like this golf club a lot I mean I've got the i-15 at the moment. So it's very similar in kind of looks wise it's got the simple little alignment arrow at the top and it's just got a bit of adjustability that's about it it's dead simple you can only move it degree the way as well. So it's it's unbelievably simple golf club right let's get hit it's not about start for three will it seem long. But I don't if it's a straight hole two three nine carry distance but it has actually gone twenty point one degrees at twenty one twenty point one yards off lines that's not gonna count that one unfortunate it's a long shot as well leaving at five where we the old count that seemed really nice 245 yards of carry distance that definitely counts eight point three yards off line really just a little bit to the left which is fine. And I sit through four five great start it seemed quiet as well hit two to four but I'm gonna count all the ones that are not even as well hit only. For the simple fact it shows to the level of forgiveness these golf clubs offer as well to be it's not a super forgiving Club you're going to get some ones that are going to drop in distance slightly I'm also hitting them all off the tee peg. So my fellow of professional air Peter Finch walking past so I'm going to hitting all off a little T peg to get the ferry strike we can possibly get yeah it's been really nice 236. And definitely inside our range we got two more with the ping gun sir yeah it feels awesome Oh only just inside our radius. But still good enough and 232 yards right one more inside the radius then.
We've got all or counting golf shots yeah it should be good. Yet 13.5 happy with all of those 236 yards carry distance there's only the one shot that went a little bit off line which was the first one. So we can kind of put that down to a first shot well I am warm I've hit shots already to say. But would say that was the first one. So we've got an average carry distance of 235 yards not too bad the only thing there I just noticed is the the first to the bottom to there on screen 245 was my longest to two fours my shortest. So when you don't quite strike it as good it doesn't go quite as far but the other three absolutely spot-on to where the average was right Nike covert 2.0 tour. And again I've got this in 15 degrees it's in the stuff stiff shaft so the absolute normal setting shaft and this is more adjustable. So the difference between these two golf clubs this you can range anywhere from 13 degrees all the way to 17 all right. So I've got it in the 15 degree setting today.
So it's the fairest test it's a much smaller looking head and obviously in the bright red colors you know I believe they just brought a matte black finish out certainly in the driver so I wonder if they're going to bring out one in the 3-wood as well let's see how the the Nike compares it's got two three five carry distance to beak see knife a very nice hit two three four carry distance. And only five yards off target line please do that to me this one probably wouldn't be as suited to the to the higher handicap because it is a bit smaller head slightly harder to hit oh that was nice though wow that was nice 244 yards of carry distance that time really good solid hit. And way inside our 20 yard dispersion range so it's hitting our fairway all that was very much off the bottom out be interested us it's really lost load the distance there 212 yards of carry distance because it was right off the bottom of the Gulf that was a shame. But hey it's all about the forgiveness level of it as well you know this is a much smaller head on off-centered hitch you're not going to get the distance that you'd like it's got two more now to catch up yeah it's a solid hit very nice 230 carry distance not doing bad at all at the moment. And it just needs potentially just a bigger one now this is definitely more accurate golf club they've all comfortably hit the fairway. So far which is great just needs another two 40-odd it should see into the next.
Round it's a nice hit very solid hit not quite as far to to 9. So interesting the air we've got the winner has been the ping ance if we look at the averages of the the Nike covert 2.0 tour we've got the carry distance averaging at 2:30 and again they are all the five shots they've all hit the fairway. So it's a much straighter golf shot but unfortunately it is a punishing Club if you don't hit it off the center I just took that dodgy one out if I took that to 12 out to be fair the average doesn't improve that much it would have still lost it still 234 yards even if I took out that 212. So legitimately didn't hit it as far as the ping and a 3-wood so the one that's going through is the ping up the 3-wood. And the Nike covert 2.0 tour he's out there it's lost so ping ping goes through and then.
