Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at traffic gold central manchester. And we've got a vault line for the new nike vapor speed 3 wood this is the speed version non-adjustable bigger head i've got the flex as well coming next.
Which is the smaller black face finish this is silver faced blackhead nike vault swoosh at the back a little bit detailing towards the back edge as well it's got obviously the cavity in the back that's colored in this kind of dare say lime green volt color it's got the two ribbed cages that has helped almost with a bit of stability on the head like i said the speed version is non-adjustable. So like the driver ranges the speed is more suited towards the game improvement market. For someone who wants to an easy to hit golf club so for a 3-wood i've got this in 15 degrees i've got it in the stiff flex fabuki 60 grams to flex shaft and let's see how it kind of performs i would expect around about a 240 carry i just want to give you a bit of talk about how it feels then.
I'm going to get onto the flex done the hybrids go. And check those out my channel they should already be on there i've done the drivers a while ago as well so they should be on there too right behind the ball it's not it's quite a big head it's quite a big head behind the ball but looks incredible with that nike swoosh the silver face it looks fantastic and it comes out like an absolute bullet it's going to be about the 240 mark yeah that 240 carryout says can exactly where i'd expect it to fly to 238. For 15 degree that's pretty much spot on what i do like about this as well they've carried on that that tor wrap grip the sticky black grip got the black one in the speed range. And the kind of a gray color in the flex felt really nice that i'm going to hit one more off the t i'm going to hit some off the floor as well it's a bit of a different fly i call that higher on the face. So you can see there the difference between i wasn't that wasn't middle a little bit higher off the face kind of plopped up in the air. But still two three two that wasn't i'll be honest that wasn't a good hit but again it's stressing how what level of forgiveness this three-wood can have let's hit some off the deck. So normally i like to see quite a shallow profile of the 3-wood behind the ball this isn't very shallow the flex is a little bit shallower a little bit smaller head this has got quite a deep face to it. So for me a 3-wood that would certainly suit hitting off a tee whether it would be as easy to hit off the fairway i'm not too sure it doesn't from my eye it doesn't look as inviting when it's on the floor just because it's got a little bit of depth to the face i find it quite hard to try and take the top of it to try and hit the top of the face when it's off the deck with this deep face but see how it performs yes the arts wear a struggle just because it's got that deeper face i'm going to take that one out. For the averages because that wasn't a great shot that's why i just find it's going to be a little bit trickier just because it's got a deeper face i'll take one out. For the averages and i'll hit another one oh but when you get it but when you get it little tiny bit left but that's more me than the club very nice 240 again off the deck but just felt once you can actually get to the bottom of the golf ball. And make sure the ball hits the top of the face that's the flight you're going to get much higher great penetration. And it's it's getting out there at 2 4 that's a big hit let's go one more off the deck and we'll have a look at some average numbers oh that's the one i like bullet down there that could be good i think once you start to get used to hitting off the floor it's going to be okay i think it just takes a little bit of time certainly. For myself i'm not like say more of the shallow faced profile face and it's just going to be a little bit take you a touch of time if you're not familiar with a deeper face to hit off the floor let's go one more actually while i've got this one then.
I'll have some averages oh that was really hit well. So that's the one where i got it higher off the face so like i said the more i'm hitting this the more i'm getting used to where the middle of the face is on this because it is feels quite high up two three four carry. For 250 total right i'm gonna pull up the numbers and just have a quick look i'm gonna take that really horrible shot okay. So it gives us an opportunity to have a look at some of the average numbers now for the nike nike vapor speed 3-wood uh average carry distance of 232 for all the shots that i hit i took that one horrible one out that was awful there's one low there at 220. And the top one that's maxed out is 238 the 221 again was the one where i didn't quite get hold of it all. But that's what i want to give to you i want to show you all the shots that i'm hitting there's not no edits i want to show you all the ones that i'm hitting a club speed just. So you know 110 miles per hour um spin rate's around that 4 000 mark that's pretty good it's got that slot behind the face to reduce a bit of that off-centered hit and help the forgiveness level still remain the same so even if you don't hit out the middle it's supposed to spring off the face a lot better still seems to have done that it's not the longest three we've ever tried in the world but it's a nice three-wood it's deep certainly better off to hit off the teen off the floor unless you're used to a deep-faced 3-wood it looks incredible and now i'm going to move on to the nike vapor flex 3 wood stay tuned.
