Now if you watch my videos a lot you'll know i don't often review golf shafts the reason being there's so many available and if i'm dead honest i hardly ever see any difference in fact i did a video a few years ago where i tested four different flecks of shafts. And the results were. So similar however. i've got a chat today.

That has really got me excited. And it's in this tube [Music] so what is this shaft well it's from autoflex. And it's a pink hot pink shaft now grow up before you start leaving any stupid comments i'm going to be saying pink shaft a lot in this video now my good friends at txg have reviewed this quite a bit you might have seen it on their channel definitely worth checking out they really dive into the detail on this shaft now this shaft alone is 750 pounds get that 750 pounds. For that i would expect it to perform now what autoflex are saying is it gonna hit it longer. And straighter there's three variants there's a ladies a men's and a pro this is the pro model now all three of them have something in common the super light now this is 53 grams my normal driver is 16 sometimes i'll even go to a 70 gram shaft this is much lighter. And they're saying it's much whippier now what that's doing as you come down to hit the shot apparently it stiffens up apparently it helps you swing it faster makes you hit the ball further and reduces the dispersion makes you hit it straighter i think. For 750 pounds i'm sure someone will joke in the comments below you'd want the shaft to hit it. For you so what i'm going to do first is hit my driver in my standard shaft the hazardous smoke 60 grams extra stiff flex it's on gc quadrant pro v1s get warmed up get some numbers. And then.

I'm gonna put this into the driver head the same driver head to see if there is actually any improvements this is the cobra speed zone extreme. And the shaft just in case you want to geek out this is a hazardous smoke 6.5 supposed to be low spin 60 grams now i know how far i should hit my driver on gc quad with pro v1 it's normally around the 280 yard mark. So one obviously one just double check that two loosen up so i'm ready before number three i can put that shaft in this driver head to compare it. So let's just hit a few loosen up get some baseline numbers before hitting the pink shaft [Music] so now it's time to swap the shafts over let's uh let's put this autoflex in now i'm intrigued i'm excited to see if it's gonna work that's. For one and if it is gonna work by how much. Or is it actually going to completely fail. For the price we're talking as i mentioned 750 pounds like how much further and how much straighter does the ball have to go to justify that price. And that's going to vary. For everybody watching this video i'd love to know your comments down below is it 20 yards further. Or is it just a couple more fairways around it's going to depend on what ability you are how important it is to you one thing i just want to check these two shafts if there's any difference in length. Or very very similar if anything the autoflex is like marginally longer. But i mean it's almost not even measurable. So that's good i'm glad that's quite similar i'm gonna put this in the same setting standard okay we're in let's give it a hit i'm intrigued as well to see how it feels because i think a few things i've seen online is that it feels quite different when it's in the head oh wow it feels oh my goodness i don't if that's picking up on video that is absolutely wobbling now normally i say to golfers you can't test shaft like that it's an optical illusion like when you when you wiggle when you okay i nearly snapped a 750 pound shaft then.

That was lucky what i was trying to say it's almost like an optical illusion sometimes when you wiggle it. But honestly that is a soft shaft if somebody gave me that. And said what flex is that who's that suited to i would absolutely say that is a senior shaft. Or a lady shaft because that is super whippy there's not much difference between flexes as i mentioned before i've done that video with four different shafts. But i've never seen a lighter more flexible shaft go longer or straighter apparently it stiffens as you hit it the shaft stiffens up and then.

Makes more clever to be more ball speed all that jazz oh i'm intrigued let's see what this this really expensive shaft can do [Music] oh that is a strong start it. For one it's gone straight down the middle i'm not going to look at the numbers. Yet because i want to describe what i found it's gone straight down the middle the flight looked good it felt strange in the backswing it felt like it had whip but i've got to be honest coming into impact it felt just the same as my normal driver numbers wise club at speed 109 oh spin is way high spin is at like 3 000. And carry distance is a long way short of what i'd expect let's say a few more because i feel like i need to somewhat get used to that. But that was dead straight anyway [Music] well that's not long. And it's not straight not very good at all that one [Music] [Music] [Music] so far i've hit a handful of shots what i want to report is that i've not seen the same distance. Or more distance than my normal shaft yet however. what i have found is each shot has just got a little bit longer than the previous one. So who knows maybe give it a little bit more time which i'm going to do we might start to see a bit more distance now this is an interesting one because often times when we have a new product in our hands whether it's a shaft. Or a new head something we're trying if it doesn't instantly work we're very quick to discard it and move on to the next.

And that's quite a challenge for for maybe fitters for brands sometimes it's worth just trying it that could be the club for you if you give it a little bit more of a try right let's keep going i don't know what's quite gonna switch on how to activate this shaft. But let's see if we get some distance out of it [Music] okay this is where i am. So far after hitting a lot of shots with this shaft i'm not that impressed i've not seen massive distance gains i've not seen more club head speed i've not seen me hit it any straighter the last shot i just hit in that batch of balls was possibly the best 282 carry 160 ball speeding a little bit faster than comment speed. But honestly nothing really to report i'm gonna hit a lot more shots because all the reviews i've seen online definitely sit miles so i haven't hits it so much further so again maybe i'm not getting used to it or it doesn't suit my swing or whatever it may be but i'm willing to give it a bit more of a test let's hit some more there's got to be something in there certainly for this price as well [Music] so i've tried everything i've tried lowering the loft gone down to 7.5 degrees i've tried to swing it instead of hitting i try to tee up higher try to hit higher on the club face try to optimize it as best as i can. And what i found is that this shaft this 750 pound shaft does not go any longer than the shaft i couldn't have in the driveway in fact on average it was shorter i've got to be honest it was more erratic i felt like i hit more off the planet it's got work. For some people it surely has i've seen some reviews that it seems to work but for me it doesn't and for me i would definitely not be spending 750 pounds on the shaft there's much better ways of spending your money guys thanks for watching stay tuned lots more to come and we'll see you next.

Time.
