Right guys we have got a speed challenge speed only clubhead speed we're talking and we've got the G 30 so the ping Zhi 30 with turbulator 's that are designed to reduce drag therefore. create more club head speed against the brand new tailor-made aero burner aero bit being the aerodynamic section of it. And two drivers that are designed to the same market they are designed to create more club head speed. For the average golfer and in initial testing with both these two they do work. But which one is actually fastest now they both have a little bit of a dig each of the. So far and they've been you know talking about how add aerodynamic one is over another. So talking about the ping Jie 31st it's got turbulator 's so on the top there are six fins that are designed to reduce the drag of wind flow over the head now that's been tested in wind tunnels it got ideas from planes from cyclists helmets from Formula one cars that's where their design came from. And then.
You've got the TaylorMade Burner aero burner now this is lighter I can feel it's a little bit lighter. And it's got a very clever design it's got almost like a bit of a dimpled effect on top of the head she's got a central channel that will I'm guessing kind of direct the wind on to these dimpled toe areas. And heel areas and it's also even got a thin behind the hosel now the TaylorMade is longer shafted. So there is a little bit of a difference is about maybe half an inch difference in the tailor-made Aero burn in the shaft length. But we're going to do some test day on gt2 just about club head speed guys it will maybe see the distance. But we'll just beat off my club head speed I've actually pulled onto the ninth hole at the Brabazon The Belfry to see which of these two is creating the fastest club head speed can do I'm gonna start off he's in I'm going to crank it up towards the end of the video now my normal club head speed is about 110 miles per hour. So it's roughly in about that region so anything for me over 114 115 and above is more technology than than me I'm not I'm I've been in the gym this week. But I've not far from that it's all mainly about the golf club to helping generate the club head speed so let's give this a go first ping g30 with turbulator x' black head it looks very simple design I've done loads reviews on this before I've bagged this I've been using it in my bag on quite a few occasions let's see what club head speed it gets it felt like an amazing start and again we're not massively talking distance we're talking club head speed and it's a big hit nearly to 290 well as the club head speed let's have a look a hundred and nine point five so once out super fastest yet I'm taking easy one hundred and nine point five I would say it's about where I should be with the driver club head speed so TaylorMade arrow burner it's got the advantage of being a slightly bit longer and we have not not weighed these two golf club certainly from the field I would say the aerial burner is a fraction lighter. So again all things help him with generating more club head speed obviously very different look looking down white head and not as not as bold of Hawaii so aerodynamic those dimpling effects on the toe and the heel don't really super stand out so maybe more of a subtle aerodynamic driver let's see what this club at speed I'm just going to hit it exactly. So I'm not a robot I'm going to try. And hit it exactly the same way it's just probably down that left hand side of the fairway there maybe just Nikken around the the bunker but it's club head speed we are looking. For and that is it it's a nice hit Oh mr. 290 again it hit the fair out sir which is good okay we've seen a difference in club head speed there that's a hundred. And twelve point five now I would honestly say both both of those two golf swings in my opinion felt exactly the same I did not try. And hit one harder than the other I did not I promise you solely I did not hit one hard neither go back to take the pink turbulator x' let's go a little bit faster that should be down that side of the bunker again the box straight I'm happy with them. So far it's the most Airways I've ever hit just three in a row Wow three in a row club head speed a hundred and ten so the exact was 110 point three. So again at the moment that to me is honestly where a normal driver head sits it's got a tiny bit well I'm going to string it exactly the same as the ping one this time I don't know it feels like I can swing it faster with this maybe I like to say maybe it's because of the weight I probably missed the fairway there. But maybe it's because of the weight but I do feel like a normal swing this one a little bit faster that's the TaylorMade eyes that was 111 I say what these that was 110 point eight. So not mega fast still not they're not float you know they're not they're not super charging my golf swing they're not making it incredibly fast looking from the outside I would say the TaylorMade face is a little bit shallower. So again all things to help reduce drag now I use a 430 sized head shape and I know that does travel pretty fast the smaller head shape. But both these are in the 460. So it's it's you can get more Club at speed if you drop the size of your club head. But then.
You've got a may sacrifice a bit of accuracy right let's go for this one I've been I've been tame on both of these two so far I've been tickling those two let's go for it let's see if I can get some real speed. So I think anything over 115 wins I really do I'll see if these can get over 115 miles per hour club at speed yeah it felt good. And that's a here in the fairways more today.
It's a great day. For thumb I go and play after this I think there's a little bit of difference between the two in distance wise club head speed 112. Or the exact 111 point 8 not mega mega mega mega faster not a huge improvement I'm honest I feel slightly more confident with this one maybe getting a bit more club head speed it's gone left probably trees but I'm just talking clubhead speed it's actually gum we'll move over the bunkers go go go go go big hit again clubhead speed a hundred and fourteen point one every single round the TaylorMade arrow burner has generated more club head speed every round and I'm trying to do is closely match swings as I possibly cap last round last round let's go. For it one more shot each let's see if it can just get over either one of these get over the 115 your ping Jie 31st well that could be good actually another fairway splitter yes please oh definitely the ping straighter is it faster come on give us some speed arts just mr. Fairey 112. But nearly 300 yards total distance what was the exact 112 dead okay I think that's the fastest. So far generate with the ping let's go with the TaylorMade last shot oh I went for that I went for that one big style it doesn't matter about direction of distance that's that's dreadful but I'm just on about Club Betty because it still will measure it 113 113 point three guys every round the tail made has swung it faster now that might be because of the length it might because of the weight. Or it might be because it is actually factually more aerodynamic well ice to get a wind tunnel we can't can't fully test it guys I assume these exactly the same in both rounds. And for me the TaylorMade arrow burner does generate more club head speed not ridiculous amounts more not a huge amounts not you know game-changing amounts.
