I've got my hand on the new taylormade sldr. For a hybrid club this is a highly anticipated club because the drivers come out recently. And it's already old news because they've brought now a jet speed out but we'll give this one a review anyway just in case you are looking at interesting buying it. And what they've done is they brought the technology using the rocket blade. And rocket balls irons into this bad boy so they had this little squishy pocket here at the back just behind the face and that's supposed to squish and trampoline the face a little bit and help you hit the ball further it's got adjustability so you can move it from all different loss this is at 19 degrees at the moment. But you can move it much higher. And much lower as well so it's got that versatility um but really it's a hybrid you can't really reinvent the wheel too much so with it having the loft on you can't crank it any any stronger and stronger stronger this is just how it is. So we're going to see it on flight scope. And hit some real golf shots with it i'm going to try. And hit five very genuine golf shots get them on uh let's say on the flight scope and then.
Give you the figures as well pop them on screen to see where this sits in relation to how you want to test the hybrid um we'll give it a give it a bit of a smash first so again what i don't know what it's changing too much i'm really i'm really starting to see that taylormade are just producing club after club after club. And whether it's going to go any further i'm not too sure. And do we need it to go further i mean really with a hybrid this is all about kind of making sure we hit the green nicely i mean it may help the enjoyment of a golfer doesn't hit the ball massively far. But it's not it's not a club that we need to be hitting 250 260 yards let's give it a hit anyway and see what's what it's producing how it feels i'll give you some honest feedback on it okay i might take it all back it does feel good actually sorry taylormade it does feel good i felt very solid. And i didn't hit that right out of the middle but it didn't twist that much i set a few more okay that's a nice flight you might really see me be my words here in a minute. And they were very very nice gold shots i've hit both of those two solid another three seeing them see what the flight scopes are that's the best one i've hit that's landing about 220-ish 230. all right. So i'll get the fights got figured off in a moment i've just got it running up in the background i might as well carry on and hit the whole five i wasn't going to do this. But it seems very easy to hit yeah another good hit solid ball flight yeah i'm a bit shocked i didn't expect it to be quite as easy to hit as this i'd say whether this sponge gives us that feedback. And that the versatility to if i don't quite catch out the middle it doesn't really seem to be twisting at all it's got a nice high ball fight which is something we're after with a hybrid yeah that's very nice that does feel good really changed my mind on this one. So i'm gonna get the figures up on screen for you as well to give you a bit of an honest give you all the details of how far i've hit those shots um and then.

Video i'm actually going to test this up against the rbz stage 2 which is the kind of previous previous model to the jet speed. And the sldr this is the the white one. So it's going to be white against gray um the finished position the finish on this looks very good it's very similar to the driver i'd say it's got this grey kind of charcoaly look to it which does sit very nicely behind the. But look how how much i'm changing my mind here's i've really so this is testing this has really changed my mind on this club i must admit um. So i'll get the flight scope figures up on screen and i'll look through them and then.
We'll give you a bit of a feedback at the end so guys we've seen the flight scope figures and for a three uh hybrid and 19 degree now temperature wise i've actually just recently bought a thermometer just to kind of give you a bit of a an idea of the temperature we've got here it's currently about eight degrees celsius so about 40 almost 50 degrees fahrenheit so it's quite cold uh certainly for my u.s viewers it's not as glamorous as it looks out in the states so it is quite cold at the moment um 221 carry distance. For a three hybrid is that it's good it's nice i quite like that distance it's giving me loads of elevation. So when it lands into a green it's going to stop very quickly it was very easy to it looks great it gives you a bit of versatility to hit higher. And lower um i know you'll be skipping back to the front of this video and showing how much i was slagging it off at the start. But it's a good it's a very good club be interesting to see what to do with the jet speed i mean what's going to change you know what is actually going to change this felt very good the true test is in the next.
