Hi guys my name is rick shields down here at traffic gold century manchester. And today.
We've got a battle of the big boys these are the two drivers that have currently beat off the i-25 beat off the callaway big bertha alpha. And the sldr battered the callaway big bertha if you've not seen those videos yet do check them out on my channel there should be a couple of windows that pop up here you can check those out check those out as well because that was a really interesting matchup. But these two came out victorious so it's the heads up against the i-25 against the taylormade sldr driver i'm gonna put these two head to head on gc2 i'm gonna hit three real golf shots each alternately and we're going to get an average carry distance of the three. And also see which one of these two does hit the longest golf ball as well um we're going to go i25 first. So the two callaways are sulking here in the corner at the moment because they they absolutely got battered by these two. So it's the i25 first and we've got the go faster stripes we've got the adjustability i've got both of these two drivers set in 10 degrees and i've also got them in stiff stock shafts as as closely matched up as i can possibly get these two golf clubs without putting one shaft in the other these this is as close i can get it matched up. So it's as fair a test as we can possibly do. So we're gonna go i-25 let's give this a bit of a rip all right seems like a decent start don't if i'm middle middle middled it oh it wouldn't have been bad then.
293 carry distance for the ping i-25 oh yeah it's a good job i didn't middle middle movement it could have been over 300 mark neither drivers managed to get over the 300 market on the carry distance. So this could be the time they might perform at the highest level right tail made sldr hmm who's it out there is it out there 278. So not the greatest start for the taylormade sldr it's got a little bit of catching up to do. But we're not only offering we're not only highlighting the distance here we're also kind of seeing the efficiency and how well it can cope hitting well all the time right i-25 go go faster stripes on the top let's see if this can get over the 300 first one to do it oh that's nice from the i-25 is it over the 300 oh not quite 281. So not bad you know two nine three still the longest so back onto the sldr slr has got to do something a bit special here it's got to catch up with the i-25 should have a decent chance if it was quite as well hit as the other ones i'm not about 281 exactly the same as the i-25 there right back on the i-25 the ping not one shot each left it's going to be a close match up this i think if the ping pong puts one into the 290s this time it could be game over. For the taylormade it's not bad i don't know if it's the quite the 290 i was looking. For with that shot 272. so still not quite a good not quite good enough there to be fair it was was not hit as well as the others. So last shot it's left a small window for the taylormade here very small window i think a 280 290 carry distance here. And this could end up being a very close matchup it's not a bad hit 280 carry distance so this is going to be very interesting match up right if we pull up the data up on screen here we've got some really interesting results we've got the i-25 first i've highlighted those ones. And this has got an average distance of 282 yards and not a bad average distance at all however. it had it has the feather in its cap that hit the longest golf shot of 293 yards which is pretty pretty decent let's now check the sldr. So the sldr had a carry distance of 280 yards just one yard separated these two golf clubs it really was a very very close matchup the thing with the taylormade that time it just didn't have that 290 golf shot that it had in the previous round up against the uh the callaway big bertha just didn't have that 290 shot in there. But to be fair the two golf clubs here are very very closely matched. But the winner because there has to be a winner the winner is the ping i25. So with the go faster stripes not that it makes a big difference at all this technology managed to just pip the longest currently on the market which is the taylormade sldr just by one yard. Yet it did in this round have the longest golf shot of 293 yards of carry distance. So guys that was my longest drive competition against the two big big boys in this tournament i've got some others coming up we've got the night coverts as well that i can test up against these as well.
