Right guys so it's the eve of the open and this is a golf club that's been used by an awful lot of players i'm here on the taylormade tour truck at the open royal liverpool with chris trot. And we've got the taylormade udi many players got this in the bag yeah we the guys here we've made i think over 50 of these this week um loads of interest obviously the course setup that we spoke about it requires a lot of driving irons this is the ultimate driving iron from taylormade used off the fairway used off the tee um the sole is a big benefit in the sense that this can cut through the turf a little better that's part of the design by it obviously it's got the speed pocket in there to give you the pace. And it's extended as well isn't it correct so when he'll correct there's always this there's always a stigma about a one iron being the hardest golfer yeah in the bag without question. And you've basically made a turn they'd have really made a big forgiving one haven't there big forgiving one iron yeah. And this is a strategy that we've had. For the last couple of weeks coming in here there was some up in scotland there was some on the pga tour last week to capture this event they make a two loft they make a three as well yeah. And so we're really trying to get that area that guys are gonna want to keep the ball down. And get it out there on a week like this perfect so this is this comes in uh what's the starting degree this is 16 is a stronger you won't want it any stronger than that really. And this goes up to mid-20s uh i believe on this truck right now we're going up to 20. And there is something that we can go more we've got more loft coming you can bend it no issue. But we've got more life coming as well so the idea with this again it's similar to the taylormade's theory at the moment it's going to produce lots of low spin. But it's it's level of forgiveness i think that's where its unique selling point is this is a golf club that really isn't on the market just. Yet you've got your hybrids now i personally i use a 2-iron ima buy currently and you know something like this has got a little bit more forgiveness but doesn't balloon up like a hybrid would be a massive advantage certainly in this week's conditions i'm almost positive who are the big names using this at the moment well we had justin rhodes using it last last week. And obviously won yeah. And uh i think clark has got one in the bag this week that would be the big guys that we'd be looking at chris was telling me just in the previous video if you've not checked that out he's given a little bit of addition a bit of the gossip on the on the tour truck like i said this is the eve of the open this is the wednesday a player could literally walk through those stairs up in the door at any moment in time. And chris was saying about who's the who's the picky ones who's the ones that tweet the golf clubs the most. But this is a golf club that's being used plenty this week it's one that's been i'm sure kind of designed to come out. For this week because obviously yeah. For sure it's going to suit last week's golf course it's going to suit this week's golf course it'd be interesting to see how it how then.
Its future developments carry on you know whether this golf will stay in the bag. For many players because obviously you know a lot of golf courses more demand the driver where royal liverpool probably not as much a driving golf course more of a long iron correct and i i think you know with all these tour players when you've got a facility like all of these trucks if you're not on it. And you're not testing the latest products you're not getting the edge each tournament changes week to week taylormade right now have this product going up on this trip to 20 as we go to future weeks we may go higher loft it really depends what the feedback is. But so far it's been very positive and we hope to see a lot of these during the tournament awesome so guys that was a little bit of an exclusive this product's not currently on the market at all. Yet you know this is the first one apart from last week this is the almost the birth the the birth of this golf club. So it's gonna be exciting times i might see if i can just just get one of those away. So i can test it. For you guys i'm sure i can get it over the next.
Couple of days. And get it on youtube for you guys as well testing it giving you some gc2 numbers and see if it's a golf club that will suit my game. And then.

Disclose that information see if it's going to be a golf club that's going to suit your game guys because that's that's the most important thing in all of this who cares about justin rose. And darren clark it's about your game so that's what we that's what this golf club's coming out for apart from winning major multiple major will do that it's a good validation. And you know it's got better tech it's got a different technology and etc uh adams and taylormade obviously companies that kind of work together now quite closely and then.
We've got one last challenge with darren wherever he's gone he's somewhere about we're gonna do a quickish re-grip challenge. So we've gotta put the gauntlet down i reckon under ten seconds would be pretty impressive you know how many grips do you guys do down there in the day you must do yeah over hundred.
