If you heard there was a driver promising straight distance regardless of the way you swing it you'd be interested right well that's this the callaway b21 [Music]. So that is a bold claim from callaway distance regardless of the way you swing it we're going to test that theory today.

How callaway are claiming to have done it is put more weight low. And into the heel to fix that slice but also put more weight in the front to lower the spin ideally a perfect kind of combination a lot of researchers got into this and again particularly to golfers who slice the golf ball now people who watch my channel might know i don't slice the golf ball my bad shot is normally a little bit of a left. And a low spin however. i have had this driver in the hands of a 21 handicapper one of my viewers who severely slices it i can't wait to show you the results what we found with this driver stay tuned for that but first it wouldn't be a review if i didn't hit it myself first let's give it a whack let's see how it feels let's see how it flies i mean it looks like a nice looking driver it's a the blue top to it which callaway haven't brought out once. Or twice before it's very triangular shaped which again i'm not the biggest fan of but it's not ugly and again for a slice driver often sometimes they can get very offset. And look not particularly very nice this doesn't this looks actually really smart price wise 400 pound when it comes out to retail it's 400 pound for this driver that promises again let me use that line straight distance regardless of the way you swing it let's give it a hit first see how it feels how it flies and honestly i can't wait to show you the results we get from that 21 handicapper who severely slices it stay tuned so behind the ball as i mentioned it is quite a triangular shape it's confidence boosting i must admit it does look like an easy to hit driver. So this is my first hit of this driver let's give it a whirl like i say i don't think it's massively going to suit me. But i want to see how it feels now it flies anyway well that's a pretty strong start that is just left side of the fairway flew out really nicely let's hit a few more [Music]. So after hitting a few with the callaway big berth the b21 is it a good driver yeah it's decent i hit it quite nicely the flight was solid very similar to a driver i normally hit it did feel forgiving which is a positive was it moving more left than normal slightly just tiny bit more to the left. But a question is that the technology in the head with these weights internally inside the head that's offering that anti-slice. Or is it the fact that it's a slightly softer shaft than i'd normally use. But luckily it's not too soft for jason the 21 handicapper we had hitting this driver earlier on my sort of normal ball fight is usually a slide to the slice to the right occasional pull an occasional top can be anything now jason currently uses a callaway rogue driver in nine degrees of loft. And a stiff shaft now jason's quite strong he generates actually really decent club at speed 106 miles per hour when we measured him [Music] so after some warm-up and multiple shots with his own driver we saw what was typical from a 21 handicapper shots went to the right off the left. And every night again would smoke one down the middle [Music] so i was excited to see what this was going to do in his hands the b21 again this promises to go straight it promises to fix slices jason is a perfect candidate. For this driver specs wise very similar this is nine. And a half degrees of loft and also in a stock stiff shaft let's see how he gets on with this [Music] so as you can see from that little montage of shots not a lot changed jason still sliced it still hit it left. And every now and again could find one in the middle swing-wise nothing changed jason was still swinging 13 degrees from out to win hitting heavily down on the golf ball. And depending where that face pointed depending on the outcome of the shot did the b21 help him hit it straighter no it really didn't new big buffer felt heavier in the head it didn't feel as comfortable. For me swinging it looked nice behind the ball it didn't feel as nice as my current driver however. i could not let jason hit those shots so i'll be honest i spent 10 minutes with him just giving him some pointers quite simple ones his grip was too weak he would aim his body too far to the left. So we would swing across it and then.

Open the face and heavily hit down so i spent a little bit time with him just making some very quick changes i got his body shape slightly more close like more tilted so he could start swinging up and towards the right when he did that first the hit shots went were much better. But went straight to the right then.

We strengthened his grip so he could control that face check out this shot boom look at this it's going on the green yes. And by the way they were all with his own existing rogue driver that last one went 272 yards carry club head speed was 112 miles per hour. And his swing path again reminder used to be 13 degrees to the left his last one was point .5 of a degree to the right the change was massive the lesson offered definitely improved the uh my driving more than the the new driver would do. So a lesson with a pro local pro would i would see much more improvement than spending money on a new driver so it just comes to show yes buying new things is great i don't put anyone off buying a new toy i get it it feels good it's nice to get on the golf course however. i just wanted to show you there that some of these claims that brands make are exaggerated to say the least you can see there a very quick 10 minute lesson with a pga golf pro made a massive difference just bear that in mind when you're looking to improve your game guys thanks. For watching stay tuned lots more to come make sure you smash like thanks to jason for getting involved in this video and that was my review of the callaway big bertha b21 it doesn't make you hit it straighter we'll see you next.

Time.
