Right guys i'm gonna do a review on this today.
This is the titleist in 712 u the utility iron um it kind of went under my radar a little bit i'll be honest with you when it first came out which has been out. For a while it kind of slipped underneath the radar and it's only now since jordan's speech popped it in the bag replacing the hybrid it's kind of come about like let's give it a test so i've got this in three iron i've got it in the standard stiff flex s300 and it's it's effectively it's a big chunky forgiving iron that is replacing your three two iron you can get in 18 degrees three iron in 21. And four ironing 24. um it's a forged head which i love about that because it's a big head yeah it's forged it still feels really soft i just thought while we've got it let's give it a bit of a test. So i've got a flag out here of a green that's 230 yards away which seems to be the right distance for this club which seems a lot longer than a three iron for me whether the bigger chunkier head flies that a little bit further the reason why i also wanted to show it was the potential the versatility. And height because no hybrids this could be something to replace the hybrid if you find a hybrid just goes too high confidence behind the ball i mean it's just full of it it's big chunky eye. And it looks great honestly it really does look good i've got gc2 i'm going to test it with i'm just straight up uh let's give it let's give it a crack. So i've got the sim software on let's give this a hit so that's it's that's what i would say is a normal flight. For this club you'll see it land just on the green that's just a nice medium flight just under 200 yards 230 yards of carry but just a very medium height i want to show a couple of ways about playing it differently as well in a minute but you know for three iron that's that's great and like say it's just that confidence that you seem to get from it certainly if you are a golfer that maybe struggles with woods in general. So struggles with fairway woods often ask the question when someone starts to um say should i get a hybrid or fairway wood or do you hit your irons better. Or do you eat your woods better. And if the iron is the question if the answer type is irons i'd probably go. For this more let's give this another hit it just sounds and feels great slightly pulled out i would say yeah i've just slightly pulled it which is a shame. So i've just missed the green but it's not the end of the world felt like i still hit it well and 230 odd yards away i'll take that i'll tell you that so one more normal height setting yeah it's great. So i'm not saying it's going to be the most accurate in the world. But just felt really really good let me just show you a couple of things there so enjoy the strike on that one the first one was a little bit from the toe. But good everything else you know good performing shots 220 odd yards of carry the three shots i've just hit there carrying at 219 220 and 222 so all pretty accurate what i'm gonna do now is just change the color i want to show you i'm just going to change the color of that line. So the red one now isn't going to indicate uh i'm going to do low shots first. So how it can be worked into a lower shot. So i'm going to slightly change setup bring that ball back a touch keep the handle leaning forward a bit more which i just don't feel like i can always do with a hybrid you see the difference in flight there you know. So much lower that's probably not going to stay on the green because it's running that much. But that's that's a lovely shot to play into into wind keeping it lower keeping it down which again i don't believe a hybrid has that option to do very much difficult to keep a hybrid down that was about 13 yards less height huge difference set another one low love that flight love that flight i'm going to switch the line over now this time to show you how it can be changed to hit the ball high as well. So let's just change this over we'll go yellow so i'm going to hit this one higher this time which again hybrids are really good to do hybrids are super easy to hit high not. So easy to stay low so let's give this see if this one still goes high as well wow loads of scope loads of change look at that best shot best shot lovely i think it's great one more we'll go high again tightly 712 u let's go one more high one. So you can see there one club. And three very different shapes of shots soft head feels great you know i can really see why players are putting this in the bag over hybrid certainly when jordan's piece playing a few more these links golf courses why he's put this in his bag over the hybrid guys thanks.
