This is my top 10 list of irons that are currently out in the market. [Applause] starting this off in number 10 position we've got a new iron that came out from titleist that fits into the family and i think it was a great addition number 10 iron of 2018 is the titleist ap3 what i like. So much about the titleist ap3 is it blended the gap between the ap1. And the ap2 beautifully well i felt like the power and the forgiveness of the ap1 was delivered. But it also had the looks of the ap2 in some ways it almost made those two clubs slightly redundant because the ap3 does everything that those two clubs have to offer you're going to see middle handicappers higher handicappers using the ap3 we're also going to see some lower handicappers because of the looks. And the finish number 10 2018 with the titleist ap3 so in at number 9 on my top 10 list for 2018 are the cobra fa irons i feel like the fa irons cosmetically were a huge step up from the f7. But still offering forgiveness distance ease of hitting and they just look great they also cater for a wide amount of different ability golfers from higher handicappers down to lower handicappers as well now i've put in the list here the cobra f8 standard irons i've not put in the one length irons because i'm still not convinced about the one length just yet but the standard irons definitely ticked all the boxes f8 irons in at number nine [Applause] so taking up spot number eight are my top 10 irons. For 2018 goes to the cleveland cbx irons now when i tested the cbx irons i was very happy with the performance long easy to hit forgiving. And they look very clean now admittedly a little bit low on the spin numbers when i was hitting them. But i feel like the performance was still very impressive i also really like the fact that the clubs have the lofts stamped on the bottom which i think is very rare these days. And should happen more often so in at number eight is the cleveland cbx irons taking up spot number seven on my top ten list are the mizuno mp18 sc irons. So the split cavity irons i felt that the performance of these were great they look outstanding. And what i also like about the mp18 range is that you can actually blend the set beautifully between the mb bladed irons. And the mcc more kind of oversized irons but still you can marry up the lofts. And create more of a combo set however. if i was to pick one of the sets of the three the s c was that set mp18 they look great feel great perform superb. And they take up spot number seven on the list [Applause] so in at number six on my list for 2018 are the ping g700 irons now when these came out they really shook up the world because it was pink's first hollow head design. And they made a great set long incredibly forgiving i think the best forgiveness set in 2018 didn't quite sound perfect because of the hollow head design. But you could not fault the performance what you lacked in spin you gained in height easy to hit look superb incredibly clean and i feel like the g700s are a real set. For the masses certainly the higher handicappers will benefit from the big club design. And they still performed good even in the hands of myself and lower golfers lower handicap golfs as well in at number six are the ping g700s [Applause]. So we approached the halfway mark on the top ten list and in at number five are the callaway x forged irons now these do cater slightly more. For the better golfer so from the lower teen handicappers down into single figures this iron set really hit the spot for me i felt like they would perform they performed great and they felt superb with the forged head construction they felt beautifully soft and the fact you can actually throw in some of the mb irons in the shorter irons as well to give you that again that combo set. But for me the x forged were superb they look great they feel great. And that's why they are in at number five [Applause] number four on the list. And this is a titleist iron that often gets forgotten about that very much goes under the radar. But without question is my favorite titleist iron. And it's the titleist 718 cb iron this club is just superb i honestly feel that more golfers should test the cb iron granted it's suited to kind of low teen handicappers into single figure handicappers however. the field you get from this iron is one of the best on the planet it really is. And it performs great and it's not strong lofted it's weak lofty compared to a lot of clubs out on the market but it is just a superb club titleist cb in at number four. So now we move into the business end of the list the top three irons for 2018 and in at number three are the wilson fg tour v6 irons what a surprise these irons were when i tested them they are not the most classic looking irons. And one maybe from the back i wouldn't be instantly desperate to hit however. that goes completely out the window once the testing took place i love these irons i really do i feel like they cater again. For the middle handicap range to a lower handicapper range but even a higher handicapper would benefit from the feel the forgiveness and the look of these irons they tick all the boxes they are not strong lofted. So don't expect loads of distance out of the v6 irons however. they performed great they look superb certainly from behind the ball and they are worthy of a third place in this list in at number three the wilson fg tour v6 irons number two on my list of top 10 irons. For 2018 goes to one of the best looking irons ping have ever brought out and that's the i200 iron what a great club it feel like it fits so many different types of golfers the performance of the club is outstanding good on distance good unforgiveness good on feel. But it's the look of the iron that really puts this right up on the list now this has been out for a while there's rumors that it might be a replacement for this club but i don't think it's going to be massively different. And that's why the ping i-200 irons is in second position. For 2018. [Applause] so here we go top spot number one the best iron in my opinion for 2018 goes to the taylormade p790 iron what an iron i mean it really is everything a golfer could ever want because it's forgiving it is long it feels phenomenal it looks sexy as hell. And it performs it really does it is a superb iron. And for me again an iron that caters for so many different golfers i've seen high handicap golfers benefit from this iron and i've seen low handicappers still play brilliant with this iron number one spot for 2018 and this for me was a no-brainer. And it was the best iron i've tested in 2018 is the taylormade p790 iron. So that's it top 10 irons that i've tested for 2018.
